Synopsis[]
w:c:emmerdale:Joe Sugden is shocked but pleased to see w:c:emmerdale:Carol Benfield. w:c:emmerdale:Jack Sugden admires a stone wall that he made six months ago. A sheep looks at him and Jack jokingly does an impression of the late w:c:emmerdale:Trash - The Tramp by saying "Its a free country". Jack meets w:c:emmerdale:Dr Claire Scott and he chats her up at the excavation site where Henry was going to build the pig unit. w:c:emmerdale:Amos Brearly advertises for a barmaid at w:c:emmerdale:The Old Woolpack. w:c:emmerdale:Penny Golighty is sick of Joe Sugden and has decided to move on and go back to w:c:emmerdale:Birmingham. She meets Jack at the excavation site. Jack sees she has her rucksack and several other bags. Penny tells Jack she is moving on, and asks him to tell Joe. She says she may come back. Jack promises to look after her father's plot for her. Later that day, Joe goes to the mill into Penny's room and finds all Penny's belongings are gone. Jack has to break the news to him that she has gone. He tells Joe that you cannot win them all.
