Tony (credited as 'Antony Audenshaw' ) first appeared in October 1996 as minor role for some episodes as Acky, a security guard for Frank Tate's quarry.
He returned to the show to make his first appearance as hosiery salesman, Bob Hope in September 2000 (episode 2749) soon becoming a regular character.
Trivia[]
Outside of acting, Tony is regular participant of marathons, starting in Manchester in 1996 as a means to lose weight. Since then he has taken part in marathons in many places such as New York; Palma and Calvia in Mallorca; Blackpool; Sheffield; Nottingham; and annually in London. He has raised money for charities such as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. In 2010, he obtained the Guiness World Record for the fastest time set by a runner dressed as a baby.
In 2005, Tony did the London Marathon and in an interview he said he was 40 in January. Which means he was born in January 1965 but other sources say 6th September 1964.
